《狙擊精英》初代在2005年登場，曾獲英國獨立遊戲開發者協會的「最佳PC/主機遊戲」大獎。
「能與像505Games這樣的主流發行商合作非常高興，」Rebellion總裁JasonKingsley說道。「

發行商505Games及開發商Rebellion於2011年4月7日共同宣佈，經典二戰狙擊射擊作品《狙擊精
英》將在2012年推出系列新作《狙擊精英V2(SniperEliteV2)》,遊戲將面向Xbox360平台及PS3，
PC平台暫無確認。
